The Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, in partnership with local community organizations , will host the 7th Annual Veterans

Community Mental Health Summit. The primary goal of the Veterans Community Mental Health Summit is to ensure that Veterans and their families receive timely and appropriate mental health services through “an integrated network of support” that includes the VA healthcare system, community providers, community organizations, and local and state agencies.

Poster Exhibitions

Individuals, students and organizations can participate in the poster session event. Projects can include research or community outreach projects that highlight the mental health needs of Veterans and their families. Please contact Dr. Audrey Austin for details on registering as a poster presenter at audrey.austin@va.gov. All poster presenters are required to register as a participant after contacting Dr. Austin. Community-based organizations that serve Veterans and their families are invited to share information about programs and services as an exhibitor. Exhibitors are not charged an exhibit fee but are required to pay general registration fee of $20.00. Donations are accepted. All donations are tax deductible and will receive a donation letter for tax purposes. Click here to register.

Registration is required at $20.00 per person. Morning refreshments, coffee and a lunch buffet will be provided. Veterans, Active Duty Service Members and students are free with valid ID. If you are a Veteran, Active Duty Service Member or student, please contact

**We anticipate a total of 6 Continuing Education credits to be awarded for this conference. The VA is joint accredited for ACCME, ANCC, ASWB, APA, ACPE, CDR, and NBCC.
