Employee Appreciation
Thank You letters
Veterans and their family members often send numerous letters of praise and gratitude to the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center. These letters serve as a true testament to the compassionate care provided daily by the medical center's hard working staff to our nation's heroes. Here are a few letters we would like to share.
To the Staff on 2 West, I wanted to thank the Nurses on 2 West for the care they provided me. When I came to the facility I had an emergency and was bleeding. The nurses went out of their way to take care of me and check on me. I know you get alot of complaints about staff, but I wanted the Leadership to know your staff does great things.

To the Director of the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, I wanted to commend Dr. Neelamegam, his nurse Erica, and Marsha Nottage. I can always count on them to provide the best care for me. I have to say, I've been to alot of VA's in the country, and Tuscaloosa is TOP NOTCH!!!

To the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center,We recently got my father signed up for his VA benefits. In all his years, he has never taken advantage of his benefits, but with his current health issues and medical expenses, we thought we would check to see how they may be able to assist him. We had our first visit at the Tuscaloosa VA today for lab work and the doctor’s appointment. We were very impressed with the service we received today. Lab staff were wonderful. The clerk in the doctor’s office was so kind, the nurse (Erica) was superb, and doctor (Neelamegam) was outstanding. Other staff that we met in the hallways were so kind and offered us help if we seemed confused. We weren’t’ sure what to expect considering the negative things you hear about VA’s in general. I believe we need to give credit where credit is due, that’s why I wanted to post a huge THANK YOU to all those we crossed paths with at the Tuscaloosa VA today! We truly appreciate all you do to assist our veterans, and specifically our Veteran!!

To the Director of the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, I have been a patient at the Tuscaloosa VA since the 80's, and I would like to express my appreciation for the work that Ms. Constance Ball and Ms. Kathrina Williams provide for the Homeless Veterans. I wanted to make sure they were recognized for their exceptional work; bringing food to Veterans regardless of the weather, "rain or shine" is very appreciated.
