Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center

The annual Memorial Day ceremony will be held at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, on May 31, 2010, at 10 a.m., in the Sports Atrium of Bldg. 137.  The event will include a welcome by Mr. Alan J. Tyler, medical center director; presentation and posting of the colors by Holt High School JROTC; the Pledge of Allegiance by Ms. Annie Byrd, United States Coast Guard veteran; the National Anthem performed by Mr. Billy Barton, Tuscaloosa VAMC volunteer; keynote address by Mr. William Brian Butler, Lieutenant Commander, United States Naval Reserve and Director of Human Resources for the City of Tuscaloosa; Memorial Wreath ceremony by veterans service organizations; and the retiring of the colors and Military Taps by the Holt High School JROTC. The event will be concluded with refreshments served in the Recreation Activity room adjacent to the Sports Atrium.
